She enjoys music and dance like I've never seen before in a child. We where at a fireworks competition the other night and there where some cultural dances going on. Without a word of a lie she danced for a full two hours straight. People in the crowd actually backed up and gave her more space and started watching her and taking photos! She loves it. A total ham. She loves to sing still and if you are singing a song she will sometimes finish the next word for you, that always shocks me because I'm like how did you know that?! And amazingly enough a lot of the time she's on key! maybe she will be our little Beyonce yet LOL. Here are some photos of the things we have been doing like Heritage Days (where she also hopped up on the stage and started dancing away starting a toddler dance revolution kicking the adults off..but I think everyone was ok with that they where all pretty cute. On a side note we also went to see the Bodyworlds exhibition going on right now and it was so fantastic! however she did also find the body's (actual dead human bodies that have been preserved with plasticine http://www.bodyworlds.com/en.html) hilarious and would stand in front of the ones that where posing and mimic their pose. Yes picture that in your head, her standing with one leg up in the air and her arms flying around. Unfortunately they do not allow photos to be taken in the exhibit so I don't have any of that memorable experience.

Almost 2
And I surely cannot believe it! She's such a big girl now talking in full sentences (usually telling someone not to do that, but still sentences lol), she counts to 10 in English and is learning in French and Swahili. She has also come into the 'terrible' two stage with the temper tantrums going up notch, sometime I just have to look at her and laugh or I think I'd start crying! Oh the frustration sometimes! Sometimes I think I need a spray bottle..like a cat..

Summer Fun
Hello Everyone sorry for the lack of photos but mostly all of mine get posted to Facebook. If you want to add me email me and let me know.
Here are some new ones for you as well as an update.
Evangeline's repeats everything you say and can talk a lot now. She counts to 10 all by herself and has started using the potty! Yes I am excited about that. She's
getting so tan and loves playing outside in the water but not the sand because she is very prissy and doesn't like getting 'messy'. I have no idea how I had a child like that as I had no qualms about getting dirty myself as a kid. We just got a swing set with a slide so we will see how she enjoys that, it's still in the getting put together stage.
Hope you enjoy the photos, she has really talled up and thinned out the past few months, these are some from playing outside, my best friends wedding, and Canada Day.

Spring
Hello All! Evangeline is doing great. Other than getting bronchitis constantly due to her asthma that is. Very frustrating process but we are seeing a pediatrician who specializes in asthma this month and I'm looking forward to having some answers.
She talks a lot and repeats anything you say. She understands things very well and if you tell her to get her jacket or throw something away she will. She cleans up her toys if I ask her too and I'm grateful for that! She just weaned herself last week it wasn't that hard since she initially choose it then the next few days when she wanted too I just put her soother in and we where good to go. Now however I'm paranoid about gaining weight, no longer burning those calories is scary! Now I'm actually going to have to hit the gym. Luckily though we moved and now that I'm closer to my brothers I have someone to go with. We moved to a carpet free house with a backyard and I'm loving it. The dayhome is starting to pick up so that's good, I was worried at first because it was taking awhile to get going. I have a separate room for the dayhome and it's working out very well. Evangeline gets to play with children and still benefit from having mom at home which I think is so important. She's well rounded, intelligent and secure in her parents love. Anytime anyone sees her they always comment on how she is always happy and smiling. See for yourself.....

Meeting Bibi (grandma) for the first time.

(The reason she's not smiling here is her mouth is full)

Christmas
Wow 3 months have passed I had no idea it had been that long. But I have been busy looking after children and preparing for Christmas and a lot of photos end up on Facebook. Evangeline is doing good since the last update we have discovered she (like many children here in our province) has asthma which is really crappy but hopefully she will outgrow it by the time she is 5...however along with asthma she is prone to allergies so she has had a cough for the past month now..it does not help that our place is all carpet so looking to move is in our future. That does affect her sleeping as well since she coughs so hard she wakes herself up or throws up. Its been a rough month that's for sure but hopefully things improve soon. Christmas time was great though on the 22 we attended a wedding of a close family friend that I grew up with it was a great time and Evangeline had fun dancing too. I spent Christmas Eve at home with the family then made my way back up here for Christmas Day that we spent with Rays friends. Here's a whole bunch of photos of those fun times. Hope Everyone had a great Christmas and God Bless you in 2008.

12 Months
Yes our little girl turned one on the 14. Amazing we know! the past year has flown by with such speed it's hard to believe. She started walking about three weeks ago and runs around like a lunatic now. She says a few words like mamma, dadda,hi,and baby. She copy's all the time and has the most hilarious personality. Her facial expressions are priceless. She is a lot like my younger brother in her temper tantrums I look at her sometimes and just think wow it's him all over again! It's funny but not at the same time :) but at least I've experienced it with him so it's not that new to me or else I might be freaked out! but other than the tantrums she is the best kid ever. And I'm not just saying that! She's happy most of the time and chatty, not wimpy and very loving. She is sleeping in her own BED now(mostly) but yes we got her a toddler bed because she hated her crib so much and it seems to be working well. Its still in our room though because she wakes up still a lot at night to nurse. Yes she is still nursing too I'm pretty much going to let her wean herself (unless it goes forever) and she's down to once in the afternoon at nap time and during the night. I've tried to give her rice milk at night but she just gets mad and
throws the cup so I figure she's not ready yet.
Along with her first birthday came her first cold I guess I'm lucky it's been this long but thank God because the runny nose and coughing has been not fun! she is starting to get better though.
Her birthday party was a lot of fun, stressful and next year I'm ordering pizza (yeah right) but it was fun! I made the cake so that it was organic and dairy free and I thought it was awesome although the cake pan didn't really do the trick but luckily one of Ray's friends is good at drawing and made it still resemble a puppy. Thanks Heidi! She didn't make a big mess of the cake because she feeds herself now for awhile and she was to excited by the new experience of sugar I think! We did a puppy themed party because Evangeline adores dogs. If she sees them on TV or in real life she starts barking and saying her version of doggy.
Here are some of the photos of that day! And if I figure out how to connect my video camera to the computer I will upload a video as well.
